Features / Functionality

The goal of OffstageArts is to integrates all aspects of an organization's operations. This eliminates the need for multiple overlapping databases, saving staff time and eliminating mistakes.

In order to integrate an organization's operations, OffstageArts must address all the needs of each organization in which it is used. Eight areas of functionality were identified for the original design: contact management, organizational development, marketing, donor management, school, open class, ticket sales and accounting.

We expect that additional areas of functionality will be identified and implemented as OffstageArts is adopted by additional diverse clients. For example, we are considering event management functionality. The free software nature of OffstageArts enables this process: every client organization is free to implement the functionality it needs.

We briefly describe each area of functionality in OffstageArts as currently envisioned, along with its current status and future directions.
